long tube headers with full exhaust system
So i've heard Long tube headers add a good amount of HP plus torque, is this true? is it worth it?
I wanna get the long tube headers, x-pipe with highflow cats and a cat-back exhaust, so the whole thing..
I currently have a JLT intake with a SCT tuner, i have delete plates coming in the mail now.

Whats an o/r pipe? I can't do catless, cause the car would need smogged and I wouldn't pass. So long tube headers with high flow cats on x pipe and catback exhast is no good really. Or not worth it, I would think so cause it's not stock and it's higher flow

O/R stands for Off-Road aka no Cats.
For LT's w/ high flow cats it really depends where you live, for instance I live in GA and our emissions consist of if there is a check engine light on or not (practically). I am not sure about Cali, hopefully some will chime in and help you with that.
Good luck.

thats what i was thinking..I might go catless now, atleast for the year, the pypes offroad xpipe is adjustable i think, so it can allow cats or not, so in a year if i have a problem smogging it (which, if there is no check engine light being thrown, it should be fine) then i'll buy some cats and install them..
I also know someone that does smogs so he should be able to hook me up if i slip him a couple bucks.

If i get the O2 sensors turned off then wont they know at the smog..and doesn't the pypes off-road x pipe have slots for the O2 sensors..
I'm thinking about doing shortys now, cause they are alot cheaper and would provide a little more HP then the long tubes providing more torque.
