Default Off Road H pipe + Xcal 2- can I modify it myself?

Just wondering...I'm having an off road H-pipe put on my car (pypesHFM23) and having someone do the install. They wanted 30 bucks to weld it up, 60 to install and weld, so I figure WTF, for 30 bucks they can do it.

I currently have a Brenspeed tune with a XCal2, but I am having a tough time locating the original box with the cable and I believe it had the installation CD for my computer to keep things smooth. SO...

I have two questions

1- Aside from a new cable, is there anything else I need to sync up my Xcal 2 and my computer? If so, where can I get the software?

2- (and probably more important) Can I myself modify my tune for the off road H-pipe? If so, I would be very appreciative if someone could outline the steps for doing so. I currently have the 93 octane tune loaded on my ECU.

Thanks!

If you got your tune from brenspeed or bamachips, the rear 02s are already off and you dont have to worry about making any changes. The cable to connect to the computer is a standard usb cable, so dont go out spending money on an sct specific one. I'm almost positive the SCT software is free off of SCT's website since you cant even use it without their hardware.

Haha, well hopefully it won't be too loud....I am running stock exhaust and flowmaster axlebacks.

I heard this was the best combo out there.

Anyways, thats awesome that the rear 02's are already off...I thought it was going to be a major PITA trying to modify the tune to work.

Is there anything else that could/should be modified with a new tune? I know these things don't really add much power, if any at all...so I figure probably not, but then again I'm no expert.

I already found a cable that will work...my printer uses the same one so I'll be set there. I will check SCT's website and see if they have it there, or if they can e-mail it to me.

Good news is, it seems as if I will be able to just drop this part in and go!

Thanks
