How did you not know it doesnt whine? guessing you didnt do much home work before you bought it, its one of the things this kits advertises as STEALTH no whine....and your mechanic should of known you should have higher octane fuel in it.......

hope you get your issues all figured out

I did a lot of research but never specifically located a "whine" coefficient. The mechanic knows it needs high octane, I know it needs high octane but it was a last minute deal and it slipped my mind. I have drained it to my truck and got 93 in there. Picked it up today and the replacement spring seems to have cleared it up. Going to drive it easy all weekend to see how things go. Bought a Roush scoop to cover my Shaker hole. No way to mount a shaker on this thing, it only clears the hood by a inch or so. Last very minor issue is some bracket is right where my passenger driving light is on the Roush bumper so I have a missing light right now till i can modify the bracket.

Had a good time all weekend, no issues. Turns in 2d will break loose and drift quite easily and a lot more controllable with more power to feather it. 1st is useless under hard throttle, just bumps limiter! Burned all the old gas out Friday night then filled up with 93 and had fun Saturday. Watched my first SCCA at Gulf Greyhound Park in Houston today and am planning on racing next month.
Thanks for everyones help.

You would be wise to get a custom tune done for the car. Not neccesarily for more power but to help any drivability issues. I have no idea what Edlebrock has said to you about tuning, but there is no canned tune good for every car when it comes to FI.

Congrats on the blower and don't run anything but 91-93 octane.

Planning on taking to PSI Motorsports to get dynoed and tuned next week. Edelbrock engineer told me that their tune is street legal and since they are in Cali it is probably pretty weak.

Congrats and glad you were able to get all the kinks worked out! I went through my fair share issues after installing mine including some similar TB code issues... but mine was self induced as I did not properly load up the spring when I transferred the TB stepping motor to the new TB.
The e-Force is a great supercharger and you will thoroughly enjoy having all that "stealth power" at your disposal. The first time I popped my hood at a local cruise, I spent a lot time answering questions about this set-up

False you will not blow it unless you get on it, and even then your engine might not go.
Just drive it around without boosting until the gas is gone.

We dont have 91 octane in houston, we have 87, 89, 93. So can it be tweaked to get a little more out of it since it is shipped with a 91 octane tune? Or would i be better off leaving a 91 octane tune in with a 2 point buffer? Also, it has been ok so far since i picked it up but it did failsafe and code last nite with throttle actuator codes. I cleared them and it was ok all day today.
