Question Help! Automactic Transmission Fluid Change

I took my 06 s197 Gt automatic (dip stick delete) to a local oil change shop and the manager there said that he could flush the fluid out with no problems using a flush machine. Once he got started, he realized that it was more difficult than he thought. The machine that he used to flush it out with was going real slow and he called the Ford Dealer and they said it was because the automatics in the new Mustangs have to warm up alot longer before some type of valve opens up inside the tranny. He stated that the fluid required Meron V and after about 45 mins on the flush machine, he un-hooked it and took the pan off and added the rest of the fluid (aprox. 4.5 quarts) with a additive to convert Mervon to Mervon V into the pan and replaced the filter. The transmission seams to be running OK. Does anyone have any experience on the new Mustangs with this and do you think I'm OK.

Take the pan off, change the filter. Get MerconV, fill the transmission, run it, repeat.

I would never powerflush an automatic tranny. Drain, fill with new fluid, check level via approved method.

with a additive to convert Mervon to Mervon V .I have never heard of an additive that converts a fluid to something else, also if you have an external trans filter, you cannot flush the trans without first removing the external filter.Re-do it,that shop doesn't know what is doing.
