Changing cams on these cars is not going into the engine. it's going into the heads!

Not sure i'd trust that JPC dyno run. He did buy their intake manifold and they want it to make power.

Allright, lets clear up some terminology. Longblock (from the heads on down). Shortblock (everything below the heads). Absolutely, Livernois put out an article in MMFF that put out 451hp with cams and head work.http://www.musclemustangfastfords.co...ade/index.html.
I believe it can be done without headwork. Lets say the driveline consumes 15% hp. This means you need to put 340 hp to the rear wheels. A good CAI, dyno tune, LTs, full exh.,udps, delete plates, Comp SPR stage 2 cams, TB, electric wp. I think you will be right in the ball park.

Been there done that, need more torque, want more power.... thinking about a SC never thought I would ever say it. I want a big block....
a 427 will fit...

It's easily possible. Sure you'll pay more per HP than with FI, but you also don't have to deal with the endless problems associated with FI. I've certainly seen enough horror stories to make me think twice, and thrice about bolting on a SC.

Endless problems????????


I have a blower on the car for 2.5yrs, no issues and I don't baby the thing. There are guys with blowers and 4-5 yrs of DD use with out issue.
