Default Supercharging a 2008 GT

As the title suggests, I have a 2008 Mustang GT and over the past few months I've spent countless hours of doing research on supercharging my 'Stang.

My goals are pretty strait forward. First of all, 450 HP at the crank is all I'm looking to make. This is my daily driver and while I obviously will be taking her to the track here and there, it won't be that often. Plus this is a completely stock engine so I have to be extremely careful and I DON'T want to push my luck.

Anyways, Blue Collar Performance has the Edelbrock roots type E-Force blowers for $5650 and at 5 psi, it'll make 466 hp and 439 ft./lbs. torque. 466 is a little bit higher than what I wanted but I think this is the perfect kit for me otherwise. Especially for the price.

And ofcourse, if you're going to build a house, you don't want to build it on a weak foundation so I plan on suspension mods too. These include lower control arms, a reinforced panhard bar and Ford Racing lowering springs.

But my main concern is the motor. Should I be okay at 466 FWHP? From my understanding, most people seem to agree that 450 RWHP is within the safe limits of stock internals, but that is just way too much power for my purposes. And at that power rating, I assume even more suspension mods would be necessary. Opinions and comments are needed. Thanks.

The kind of power your looking to make is plenty safe. As long as your confident in your tune you shouldn't ever have to worry about your engine letting go. I was making 471rwhp before my longtubes and pretty sure I'm closer to 500 now.
