3.55,3.73,4.10 gears

All 05 gt manuals came with 3.55 stock. Now im not 100 percent on the automatics, but i think they came with 3.31 gears.

There are some situations where 4.10's in a MT car are also way too deep. Situations where you need to avoid an upshift but have room to be going faster than 4.10's will let you go in certain gears. Think 2nd at autocross and 4th open-tracking on a road course.

I can't go 80 mph on the way to work anymore. Gas expense does go up quite a bit as opposed to doing 70-75ish. I would suggest if there are lots of highway miles in your future, go with 3.73s like everyone else is saying. Otherwise hit up the 4.10s!

i debated this decision for months. did all the research in the world. looked at every forum i could read. It came down to a coin flip at the shop. it landed on the side that said get 4.10s. and i did. I have an 07 gt which had 3.31 ratio. And the guy at the shop was telling me, if you get 3.73 you will notice a change in torque but not that holy Sh*t my head went back torque. THen another guy was listening in on my debate and told me he had them on his 05 and drove Hwy miles like no other and he didnt notice a drop in gas. So what did i do. got 410s and damn!!! love em everyday. Gas did go down because of driving habit. but once i got used to them, nope!! maybe .2 or .3 went down MPG. but thats it. Just get 410s . remember, 410's will beat 3.73s off the line everytime!!

4.10s will accelerate your car faster from a dig, a roll, at any speed or gear. 3.73s are fine too, just depends on what you want. There is definitely a difference in MPGs, but whether or not its significant or not comes down to personal opinion. You will not lose top end with steep gears, just gas mileage!! It is impossible to top out 4.10s without a ton of power. I'm not trying to sale you on 4.10s, thats just what I went with with for track/acceleration purposes. Jmo.
