Default CA legal exhaust

Hey everybody
ive had my '08 GT premium for about 6 months now and it has 1,300 or so miles on it
ive put on some appearance mods like billet 9 bar grill, stealth mounted fogs, polished wheels.

but now i wanna put on a new exhaust system, prefurably a catback or axleback. but the problem is that i live in california and some are not legal, so im asking all you guys what the best beefyist sounding exhaust i can get that is legal here in california,

pics, detailed names and descriprions, and vids or anything else are greatly appreciated.

thanks
-jim

I think the law states not removing the mufflers from the stock position. I would go with a well named brand made in Cali like Magnaflow or something. Also youtube some exhaust set ups

Edelbrock makes CA legal exhaust. I am currently installing their shorty headers and they have a C.A.R.B number on them. By the way, what a PITA to install.

Axelbacks do not mess with the emissions, you just have to worry about the dB level of the axelbacks.

What part of Cali do you live? I live in San Diego county and I haven't had any problems. As long as you don't rev the engine next to a cop or rev it at 3 A:M at a condo or apartment complex you shouldn't have any problems.

No problem yet-- if you follow the letter of the law then you are better off not getting anything-- but most of us do and if you practice judgment you should be fine.

I feel bad for imports. They are usually the ones to get pulled over. Higher pitch sounds are more obvious and prone to getting pulled over. Deeper rumbles are watevers. Have never gotten pulled over and have headers, catted x, and catback. I live in socal too!!
