Ok, this is starting to make more sense now! I think your number might be very typical of a mustang dyno. My dad has a 06 gt auto with basically the same mods as you (cai, tune, and axle back) and he pulled 270rwhp/290rwtq on a dynojet.

I've also heard some say a mustang dyno will read 20-40 hp lower than a dynojet, but i've never actually witnessed it.

I have decided to let my first dyno run become just a waste of money. I want to make sure my next one is done right. Dont know what gear he ran it on or if it was t-locked. And I want a stock run and a 93 oct + cai run

Mustang Dyno or dynojet?
How can I make sure they can run it in 4th gear? The first run, the guy said I needed a file to lock it up?

Geeez... 240 RWHP...!! I think this may be the lowest I've heard of yet..!! Something just doesn't seem right here, even for a Mustang Dyno. I would have thought more like around 252- 265 for your first pull. If i recall, mine was 263 rwhp on a mustang Dyno with just CAI and Axlebacks. Personally, I would consider going somewhere else, if possible....

Yeah, stock we're typically in the 255-265 RWHP range...

that's at the crank....not RWHP.....like the 300 advertised for the 05-09 is crank HP.....no manufacturer gives HP ratings from the rear wheels

Mustang dyno does give lower numbers and I was told it was more accurate of the capabilities of the car/motor.........I had mine done on a dynojet and was at 270 RWHP with a CAI and no tune....above avg for most and I was pleased.....added the S/C and added almost 200 RWHP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How many miles on the motor? what was the heat and humidity? R U at a higher elevation? Do you have a pic of the dyno graph? What timing is the car set at? so many variables to take into consideration and remember it is just a number and the real world evaluation of how a car performs would be at the track or road racing......
