Loud Ticking under Acceleration

Loud Ticking under Acceleration
I have a 2006 mustang GT and I have a very noticable ticking sound coming from the passenger side of my engine that sounds like it's coming somewhere around the injectors or valve cover area. It is noticable at startup for a bit and then goes away until the car is under acceleration and it becomes very noticable again and increases with rpm's. When in park reving the engine does not produce this sound, however, putting it in drive and keeping the brake on to keep it from moving but then revving the engine it will begin to tick. So it seems to only occur when the cars is revved in gear for some reason. It's not an exhaust leak as I have checked the system over numerous times and everything has been installed for over a year and I have never heard this sound. The car has anout 12000 miles on it and I have scoured the internet looking for a solution and nothing has helped. I know the injectors are loud on these cars but this is a new sound. Could an injector be clogged and if so would it make this noise and can I clean it if it is. I ran Sea foam through the tank as well.

I used to get that ticking noise under WOT acceleration too, when I had Brenspeed tunes loaded. I tried Bamachips' tunes after reading some rumors about bren's tunes being dangerously lean.
Never heard the ticking noise again under WOT with bama.
You didn't state if your car is modified. Check the tunes, or check your A/F ratio on a dyno .

Well thx for the replies guys, but I found a solution. A bit unorthodox but, seemed to work . I just traded it in today for a new 2009 Shelby gt500. Kinda outta the blue I know but, I got a great deal and couldnt pass it up. Lets just say I left the whole ticking noise out of the conversation with the sales person lol. It's probably ford's fault anyway.
