C&L CAI Qusetion? Street Tune or Racer Tune
I have installed a C&L cold air intake on my 06 GT with a Diablo Sport Predator tune. I have 4 different tunes to choice from and I went with the 93 octane street firm shift. It also has the opition for the racer firm shift tune. My C&L cold air intake is made of metal and not plastic. Has anyone used the racer version tune with the metal C&L. If I am not mistaken, the plastic C&L is for the racer tune and would it hurt to go with the racer tune. I want to get the most performance but, I don't want to spend more money for another CAI.

If the 93 Octane Street Firm Shift Tune is designed for the C&L Street CAI, then use that one. If your car is N/A(no S/C, Turbo, or nitrous), then that combo will give you as much performance as the Racer Tune/CAI combo.

The C&L is called Racer for the black one and Street for the metal one. The names have nothing to do with what tunes you use. You can have a Race tune written for the Street or an economy tune written for the Racer. Just because the tune is a race tune dosent mean it was written for the racer CAI. Any tune can be written for a number of different intakes.
