O2 Sensor Eliminator for offroad X-Pipe
I just bought an offroad X-pipe for my 2006 Stang (see sig for details).
I noticed there's only 2 (Bung) holes for O2 sensors on the new X-pipe instead of 4 on the stock one with the cats. What do I need to do to eliminate the left over sensors? On my 2000 Grand Prix, we had o2 sensor simulators for fixing this & I see a lot of talk about MIL eliminators on the forums here which sound similar but I can't tell if they pertain to the 2005+ mustangs. Can someone lead me down the right road to installing these puppys correctly. Thanks! Also, I don't have means to reprogram my tune & I'll probably be swapping between X-pipe & stock from time to time, at least to pass emissions. |
I believe there are 3 O2 sensors on the stock midpipe, not 4.

Ahh Very Nice... (in my best Borat voice)
Thanks for the clarification. I just looked under the car & saw 2 on one side & assumed it was symmetrical. Thanks for the photos too, very helpful. I ordered the Offroad X from Jegs today, as it was cheap & in stock. Not sure if their photos are correct. Guess I should wait until she gets here. Just want my ducks in a row so I can install it as soon as it gets here & not have to wait for another order for supporting parts.
Thanks! |
