ticking sound at idle...

Default ticking sound at idle...

my car sometimes starts to have a ticking sound from the engine bay area after the car warms up.. It doesnt happen all the time, but if i drive hard for a little bit, when I come to a stop, I can here it.. it goes with the rpm's as well. The car is stock right now in the engine bay...05 gt..5 speed.. any info would be great thanks

i too have a ticking sound, mine is constant, kinda sounds like a sewing machine

I think that is the fuel injectors...

Yea I think the sewing machine noises are normal idle characteristics. My car's been doing what you've described since I bought it new.

Our S197's have relatively loud injectors. Either that or you're using too thin a motor oil.
