Unhappy Help! Broken Spark Plug!

I just broke off a spark plug in my 06 Gt. I was able to get the thread part out, but the ceremic with the plantium jacket in still stuck in the hole. I can still see the broke off piece. I tried using a coat hanger and bumping the engine hoping the piston would pop it out. Does anyone have any suggestions? These plugs are crap!

I am trying to search the threads for you. This has happened before and there was a solution to it.

No. I can still see it inside the spark plug hole. They make a special tool to get them out, but it cost over $250 to order one. I went on line and apparently Ford has issues with this plugs breaking off.

Yup it is a known issue.
That is why many of us are yanking the plugs early and putting in Champion One piece plugs.

The issue is not the plugs, it is the cylinder head shape. The one piece plugs do fix the problem though.
Here's the thread.

After you resolve the problem I would DEFINATLY put some Champion one pieces in there.
Otherwise you will run into the same problem again later.
A one piece plug is the KEY to not worrying about this in the future.
Otherwise you will be yanking spark plugs early forever.

Or you could just do the TSB early and not put money into plugs.

You do that and you still have a chance of them doing the same thing at a later point in time.
I would'nt trust just putting anti-seize as an end all solution.

+1, I pulled the POS OEM plugs out at 12K and put the Champion one pieces in there. 3K miles so far and no looking back.

Why band-aid the problem using FoMoCo's TSB? Seems like a waste of time and a crap shoot. My time (and potential money I save from possibly still having the problem in the future) is worth way more than the $96 it took me to order the Champs and do the swap.

It's not. That's why you pull them every so often and put the cheap anti seize on again if it needs it.

I'd rather just save the $75. Call me cheap.
