Congrats on your exhaust and happy cruising!!!
Is this the same exhaust that the 427R uses?

I don't believe so. Ford parts guy told me the Roush is made by Borla

I think you're right. I found this earlier, with video, for a ROUSH / Magnaflow. Too raspy, IMO. Saleen's sound deep, but much smoother, IIRC.

Hoofprint, as a new member, I can't post attachments, so not sure what they allow, but you could host from youtube or similar.

BTW Hoof, I just ordered up the same axlebacks that you got. I don't want anything excessively loud just a bit deeper/throatier. (That sort of sounds obscene).

I could only find one clip of those mufflers on a '10, but I found several clips of them on the previous gen 'Stang and they sounded really nice. Hope I like 'em!

Axle Back = replacement mufflers/tail pipes only?

What did you pay? I am thinking about doing something with mine. Thanks.

Joe

P.S. I found these on line for $430. Sounds like a good price compared to other places I have seen.

Yep, I ordered them from BlowByRacing (again with the obscene...) for $430. I've got a friend that owns a muffler shop and he couldn't even get them for that price. He's got plenty of business/money so he told me to order up from BBR.

Wilkinda, your car sounds awesome but it's just a wee loud for me, personally. I bet you get all kinds of attention with that color and that sound!

Installed these a couple nights ago. If you want LOUD this is not your exhaust. If you want a nice, deep tuned sound these are great. I would say they are a wee bit more in terms of volume to the stock mufflers but much deeper sounding, especially 2K and below. The 4" tips look fantastic!

Overall, very happy with these. The fit/finish is perfect and install only took an hour. Add at least an hour if you don't have a 13mm ratcheting box end wrench!
