Default Tune & Exhaust note?

Does anyone find different tune changes the sound of their exhaust note? My Brenspeed tune made my note much more mellow and not as loud. When i tried the SCT canned tune the note was much deeper and louder. What is the cause of this?

Yeah I can tell between my tune and no tune, my exhaust note a little louder and was cleaner, if that makes any sense. But I was wondering the same thing?

I definately noticed an improvement with my CAI and brenspeed tune. I think it is louder, and a slightly different tone.

My exhaust note sounds different (better) with Brenspeed 93 octane tune.

Yeah I could tell a differance between Bama and Tillman, Bama's sounded a bit more 'clean' not saying that is good that's just how it sounded.

AS FAR AS I KNOW:

This is caused by a change in air/fuel ratio. Difference in burn = difference in sound.

It's actually a difference in the cam timing. Not total timing that usually makes the biggest difference. Also, with a CAi there is more going in along with more fuel which makes more noise.

I can hear a difference in the sound of the exhaust between the FRPP 91 tune, and the two Tillman Speed tunes. I like the sound of the Road Race tune the best. But I am running their Performance Tune now only because it gets a little better MPG in town.
