Angry The car from h3ll... Anyone know where I can get...

To make a long story short, my 06Gt was bought from a salvage yard. Front end damage. We're down to aligning it and we almost have it on its feet, but now we need one of these to put it right:

Anyone know where we can find the same item cheaper, or does that look about right for that part?

do you need those because the car is lowered or because the alignment is out of spec at the stock height?

If it's the latter, get the frame fixed, don't band aid it with the plates. You could have other significant problems (including safety ones).

Budget... hmmm. Not so much a budget, since this is a slightly long term project - I want it show ready in mod classes by NEXT year, but yeah. So much for some of the performance stuff I wanted to do in the next few weeks.

And its an alignment issue and a frame/strut column issue. It sustained some serious front end damage and we've pulled and worked on the frame all we can. Strange thing is by measurements, it is perfect. If I took it to a Ford house, they'd send me down the road, but you can eyeball it and see its still pigeon toed.

do you have the correct height struts up front?

I had to install a camber/caster kit on my 03 GT after lowering it 1.5". The drop struts were shorter and the measurements were outside the maximum changes the alignment shop could correct for.

At this point though, not sure if that kit or struts would be cheaper

Default Stock struts. Not lowered - yet.

They're stock. Its not been lowered, it was wrecked in the front end, and we bought it at a salvage lot. From what I can tell, it was the victim/product of a nasty divorce (the 4th time he'd divorced the same woman) and a result of a DUI accident. Had to clean out lotssss of blood from the inside of it. Yet it didn't hit hard enough to trigger the air bags. Looks like it was 'ramped' and hit nose first, General Lee style.

We're just trying to get it aligned right - We've already done about all the frame pulling/straightening we can without structural integrity being questioned. Going to get a second opinion on it in the next day or two....

And I don't have any recent pix of the 06 - but here's the photo we saw when we found it online at the salvage pool:

It no longer looks like that, and we've replaced the ENTIRE suspension under the front end - spindles, control arms, etc. with OEM parts.
