Personal experience here:
361rwhp clutch didn't slip, 408 clutch started slipping in higher gears. 450 will need a new clutch for sure. Research your clutches carefully especially how they work with the stock slave cylinder. It's a job you only want to do once. |
also depends on how you drive it
the stock clutch can live at 400+ if your not beating on the car, if your gonna track it, you'll need to replace it sooner rather than later FW is fine for bigger numbers |

That's another story: I replaced the stock clutch with a centerforce dual friction. The centerforce pressure plate was too much for the stock slave cylinder and it went out about 1500 miles after the clutch went in. Faced with either putting in an aftermarket slave or a different clutch I decided to go with a mcleod rst because the stock slave works fine with it and it's rated to hold 800 hp. If someone was asking for advice I would steer them toward the rst. It costs more but it's better to spend the money the first time and only cry once.

Mine has been holding up just fine. I baby mine a lot though and its only been to the track twice. I plan on replacing it this spring with some of the tax return money.
