Well, though I'm lucky...since I have a '09, this sort of thing really chaps my back side!

I have a '04 HD Heritage Classic with the EFI TC88. A LOT of the TC88 engines have an issue with premature cam chain tensioner wear. Some have worn out with as few as 10k-15k miles. Harley knows all about it but refuses to fix the affected engines.

Well, they will sell you a nice kit so you can "upgrade" the crap designed parts with the newer parts that they put in the TC96 engines. Price for the upgrade? Any where from $750-$950...depending how much the stealership service guys charge.

Sadly...we all just let go along.
