Gotta car now need mods help
Finally made a deal with my dealer on an 06 gt auto tranny with 16k miles. Gotta great price of $15.6k plus tax and license so now its time for the gofast. Car already has spintech mufflers and a x pipe installed.
Gears 4.10 Who sells the complete kit for the best price? Living on an island I hate it when you get what you thought was everything only to find out you need those damn bearings and have to wait another 4 days cause they are not availble on island.....happened before.
SCT tuner. Got an auto so I thinking bamachips. I wont be able to get the gears intalled for awhile (month or so) so how does the speedo calibration work? Can I use my new tunes or do I have to get new ones after I get the gears installed?
CAI. Should I bother? I have read lots of threads that say dont bother. I know they do offer bling appeal but with a tune are they worth it? Which one?
TCI shifter. Seems buying direct from tci is the cheapest route.

As someone who has a Granatelli CAI with NO tune. *waits for the flaming* I've asked that question before and it seems unanimous - a CAI with NO tune is all but worthless to most folks (I actually like mine, but I also didn't pay the full $385.00 bucks for it. I got it for a $150.00), with a Brenspeed or Bama tune, I understand they are well worth the money.
See guys!? I can be taught!
Clarification: Be sure the CAI you're looking at IS compatible with the tune... some are, some aren't.

The CAI & tune combo is the biggest bang-for-the-buck (for about 15-25 or more RWHP) short of going FI. After that it's mostly nickle and dime power adders plus some power free-ups. Sounds like you need to do some research since this is covered all over this forum.
After a few power mods you'll need better rubber/suspension to hook up. The search feature will help find everything you need to know.

I hear ya dude. I just read the FAQ on the bamatunes site. Seems he has his favorites......
from his site: "14. Which intake is better, the C&L intake or the JLT intake? For the 05 and newer Mustangs.
Both the C&L intakes and the JLT intake make nearly the exact same power and torque on the dyno. The question is the price and quality you are looking for.
The JLT is a more cost effective design In that it uses a plastic intake pipe and coupler with a billet aluminum 88mm maf section.
The C&L Street has a high quality fully aluminum intake pipe and 85mm maf section. The C&;L Racer intake has a nice rotomolded plastic inlet pipe and aluminum 95mm maf section.
All of them have a plastic heat shield to help prevent under hood air from entering the air filter.
You wont go wrong with any of the three intakes you choose above as they are all excellent performers."
I was just wondering is it worth the $200 ( JLT) for any real gains with a tune or should I just expect underhood bling?
