Default Underdrive Pulleys Christmas Present!!

Hey guys, I was going to get myself a Christmas present which do you think I would feel the most from and pick up some HP? I already have a SCT X3 with Brenspeed so tunes will help this mod somewhat! Thinking of Steeda Underdrive Pulleys, or Mid Pipe thinking about X pipe, or Shorty Headers? JLT CAI would not do anything for me would it where I already have my tune?

I say go with the headers (I love mine) or the pulley (if you never want to go FI). One of the other members told us that the CAI only adds like 4HP on the 10's over the MAF.

U can still go FI. Only turbo though.

Under drive pulleys do very little, 0-3 hp if you're lucky. I would go with headers and a tune, most bang out of your list. I've been doing a lot of research on pulleys lately as I was thinking about getting one for my Challenger. From the tests I've read, they aren't worth the money.

Yea I agree with you^ I was looking into pulleys for a while since they claim about 10HP, but really you are lucky if you can use 5 of them for $300 plus install. Not worth it IMO plus I want to go S/C one day anyway.

Right. The actual premise is they "free up" more HP to the wheels by making the other components run more efficiently. All pulley manufacturers are careful not to make the claim that they "add" more HP, like headers do, because technically, they add nothing.

BTW you have my two favorite cars. Which do you like better anyway?

Mine is the Challenger, my wife picked the Mustang GT over the Camaro SS and the Challenger. Honestly, I was not a big fan of the new Mustangs - until we bought one. It is a lot of fun and has more power and speed than I expected (put a custom tune on it not long ago). I love the electronics package and nav. So in a nutshell, I like the Mustang very much but I've always been a Mopar guy at heart. I absolutely LOVE my Challenger, wife absolutely LOVES her Mustang and wants to race at a local track ASAP. The Mustang has a completely different feel than the Challenger. Anyway, it is really neat to have both and I like to switch off every once in awhile. Just need a Camaro SS to complete the trifecta.
