Default 2010 Mustang GT Airbox???

Hey guys, since Im not going to get a CAI on my 10 since most of the gains are coming from the tuner instead of the CAI I dont feel its worth $300 for 3 More HP. But would dropping in a K/N air filter have any good impact on performance does it allow the engine to breath any better?

I have a drop in K&N. It does nothing at all for performance, but I just dont want to have to change paper filters. If your only reason for getting one is performance improvement than you should skip it because there is none.

yeah K&N claim it does, but even if you had no filter in there, there would be no noticeable increase...but its got to be better then factory paper....i have one on order now, i will have it next week along with my custom tune from brenspeed...

Also you have to be careful not to over oil cause it can mess with the MAF.

They come pre-oiled now. So I just throw it in and drive. Wash it every 50,000 or so and then yes be careful not to over oil because you are correct it will jack the MAF if you do.

It was your dyno results if I recall correctly that caused me to skip the $300 for the CAI as it showed only a 3 or 4 whp increase. Thanks!

Funny - I was just looking at that on your car right now. I really like it. I just need to make one of those a BOOST gauge
