Here's my problem I have a 01' Mustang Gt and I already have the full Borla exhaust system aggressive. I was told that with short headers I'll get less HP but they fill fit right in there. But if I go long headers instead I'll have to modify or completely take out the exhaust and I'll receive less torque. Like I said I'm going off of what I've been told I'm still deployed right now so I cant confirm with a shop. Another issue is emmisions and whats allowed in Wa state. Any input would be great thanks.
I gained 45 RWTQ over stock exhaust with a set of Kooks long tube headers and a hi-flo X-pipe.
Gained torque and HP all across the band. I have forced induction though.
Can't speak for the 2V motor but on my 05 the long tubes noticeably increased power and I didn't feel much torque loss, if any. The long tubes also sound WAY better.
But if I get the long headers will that require me to modify the Borla exhaust system I already have in there. I would like to keep it if at all possible.
