GT500 mufflers for 2008 GT??

GT500 mufflers for 2008 GT??
Is it true that the 07-09 GT500 mufflers are from the Mustang V6? And they should be still quieter than the 2008 GT (automatic tranny) mufflers, right?
I found a deal on them but don't want to find out that they don't fit my 08 GT, or that they'll sound exactly like my stock GT mufflers.
I want something quiet when around town, and LOUD when and only when I open up the cut outs...
Anyone have the facts on these mufflers??
