2010 GT Bassani Long tube install
 

Has anyone else out there put on these long tubes on your 10 GT, I have invested 8 hours today and any words of wisdom would be great! Im sure most of you know that painstaking task of "the old long tube install", help me with my insanity!

I plan on doing this in the near future, but this doesnt help you now!! Try doing a search on it. I've read threads that give you step by step information

which threads were they? Ive looked through but never found any. Im back t work on it today, so we'll see how that go's. So far 3 of the 8 pipes are on.

ive done headers on my 07 twice and im about to tackle my 10gt real soon. wut kind of problems r u having? ide be glad to help

well I got the stock exhaust manifold off anf the H pipe, I loosened the motor mounts and titled the engine so I can do the passenger side but I can only get enough room to do the first three pipes. I feel if I take off the starter and the motor mount completely I wont have enough room to get my hands in there to put it back on. Left the k-member on too, and havent even tried the driver side yet. When I get the 4th pipe lined up I can get the top nut in but not the bottom. Any ideas on what i need to do?

u have to take to starter and the motor mount bracket completely off. its not hard theres 4 bolts on the mount. it wil be sooo easy once u get it off. also take the battery tray out to make it easier. on the driver side u have to take the steering shaft out and thats it

I can see how it would help with the whole motor mount is out, but it just looks like it would be next to impossible to get that starter back in. But ill give it a shot tomorrow after work and see how and goes. Yeah the driver side looked pretty cut and dry. Ill fill in the results tomorrow, thanks.

so the long tubes are in and after trying to fit on the X pipe and cut a little off the catback it doesnt want to fit up anymore! lol I had to stop for the day, but at least the long tubes are in and done.

Wow, you're really making me think LTs are not worth the effort.

I guess you won't be putting it back to stock for warranty work ;)
