yes, but...the 08/09 Bullitt is a special case. it essentially has what bruce linked above installed from the factory. none of the other 05-09 models have the dual fuel map capability like the Bullitt does.

if you get this CAI, you will need to run 91 octane exlusively if you run the FRPP tuning. you can get a custom tune written for 87 octane...but why? see the math in previous posts. and the HP/TQ gains are crappy with 87

You can specify what octanes you want your tunes written for. I have Brenspeed's 87, 89 and 93 ocatne tunes. Even an 87 custom tune kicks azz over the stock 87 tune. The 87 tune also comes in handy when you're out in the middle of nowhere and can only get 87 octane fuel. Been there at least twice...

By dual fuel map capability, of course, you mean the knock sensor pulling timing when it realizes 91 octane isn't in the tank? Not exactly the same.

Why is no one here pointing him in the right direction? Look no further than Brenspeed's CAI+Tuner combos. Look for one with at least a 90mm MAF housing for the best flow (90mm Steeda, 110mm JLT, 95mm C&L Racer).

Brenspeed provides tunes for 87, 89, 91 and 93 octane. You only get 3 with the package, just let them know which you need (as states like CA cap out at 91/92, obviously 93 isn't applicable). ALL of these tunes will provide significant HP/TQ increase over stock, there is no reason to run high-octane if you can't afford/justify it for the few extra ponies.

Edit: Nuke kind of beat me to it in my 30 minute reply. Typing inbetween work sucks Also second'ing the 87-in-the-middle-of-nowhere. I was in Canada earlier this year, and found the highest octane at the pump was 89! Sitting on my 93 tune..oh man was I freaking out. Luckily I had my SCT in the trunk, flashed in an 89 tune, good to go.

Even if you were stuck in the middle of no-where, the 93 tune was loaded, you didn't have your tuner with you. Wouldn't it be OK to run 89 octane just as long as you stayed under 3000 rpm. I mean it's enough for you to limp home. I can drive on the interstate @ 80 MPH and the engine turns less than 3000.

even if you experience knock under 3000 RPM, the car will still pull timing due to knock retard.

...and the moral of the story is:

-Don't waste money on a throttle body unless you're making serious power.
-Don't run a CAI without the proper tune.
-You can get an 87 octane tune at Brenspeed.com.
