Axle Question...

ok so , since i smacked a curb almost a year ago i've had a squeak coming from the rear on the drivers side. i finally got around to trying to figure out the problem and i thought it was a warped rotor, then i realized i have a high point because it rubs. im pretty sure i have a tweaked axle and i wanna get a second opinion from you guys before i got buy one. also kinda wanna pick your brains about which way to go with a replacement.

You really need a needle gauge to measure the runout of the axle. It's true, you could bend the axle and/or the flange. As far as replacement goes, I would look into a used Ford one from a yard, dismantler or private seller.

This happened to me, same exact noise, but on mine the caliper bracket started eating into the rotor. New Moser axles fixed it right up.

Don't buy Superior Axle.
