is a CAI worth getting in a 10 GT

Others have dyno'd stock and with intakes and tunes.
I was at 285whp and 295wtq on 91 oct. which is what many others are hitting stock on a dynojet.
Only way to make those of you that are soley relying on dyno numbers is to do the test yourself on a dyno. Comparing two cars with two different tunes is not a good comparison.

Interesting discussion guys!
Admittedly, we're pulling disparate pieces of information together with a number of assumptions but it seems that the answer is yes, a good CAI does make a difference on a 2010 with a complimentary tune. Whether it's worth the thick end of $300 extra or not is up to the owner in question. I'm pretty sold on the idea of going the whole hog...

Peak HP gains on the stock airbox have been in the 4 to 6 horsepower range in our testing, but in the midrange you can get as much as 10 to 13 horsepower. Same range where we are getting 20 to 25 with the CAI included. 2000 to 4500rpm or so.

You saw as much as 10 to 13 more horsepower in the rear wheels with the stock airbox and a good tune, and as much as 10 to 12 more horses to the rear wheels with your Steeda brand CAI and the aforementioned good tune. Yes?
So then we can finally sum it up as the CAI (on average) will get you about 10 more RWHP than just a tune alone. Anyone disagree with that logic? Of course, end results may differ between cars depending on fuel used, driving styles (how much you've babied your car), how many miles you have on it already, other modifications, etc..
So $400 plus tax and shipping for an estimated 10 more RWHP is the final outcome?
Even on a bigger budget that still doesn't add up that much if you ask me... I have been planning on installing a CAI up until this point, but I don't really see the cost effectiveness in it anymore.
Don't worry SteedaGus.. I'm still going to be buying the Stage 2 Suspension Pak from you folks =0)
