Aluminator Limits

So anyone have a good educated guess on the breaking point of a 8.7:1 3V Aluminator motor? I'm gonna say 800HP to the crank but not sure. Haven't been able to find this info anywhere.

i don't have a guess, but i suspect it's a pretty high number.

Hammeron, how's your new motor working for ya? I'm still waiting on my new intake to come to solve my hiccup issues when WOT.

I'm gonna say the crank is good to about 1000HP considering it is a Cobra forged crank but since I have read this motor is basically based off the Terminator motor, that motor was good to about 800 Flywheel HP. But I can't remember if that was only for the Pistons or the whole bottom end.

well it's working quite nicely, i'm very pleased with it
so far. i love the fact that the lower compression gives
us a little more safety margin incase of bas gasoline.
still running the whipple tune and it feels gooood.

funny you mention terminator because i feel i now have
a terminator, just in a 05+ body style.

let's get your hiccup issues taken care of soon, there's lots of
tire shredding to do this summer.

I have heard it's good to 1000hp

Justin at JPC is running one & from what I understand, he's over 1000hp.
My shop recommends only going to 850, but getting there is not easy.

I have a 2.4L Kenne Bell running 3 3/8" Pulley putting out ~13# boost with LT headers and ported heads on this engine & am only getting 495rwhp, but it was really darn warm out when we dyno'd her 2 days ago here in Phoenix.
I'll post dyno chart on my website on Monday.

The new Long Tube headers helped quite a bit dispite KB saying there would be no gain all over their website. With the LT's & moving from a 3 1/2" pulley to a 3 3/8" and a tune, I picked up 56hp. However, it's probably more than that since the weather was much cooler when we dynoed her before the changes.
