Did I make a mistake on my Long Tubes?

I have a buddy with the Hot Rod cams and his does a similar thing at the lower RPM's. I can't remember if this is exactly as he described but it sounds similar. I know I didn't really answer anything, but at least you know you're not the only one :-)
