Default Looking for the best Camshafts + Headers combo, I'm looking for 40hp at wheels.

So far i like what the ford racing cams offer for my 2010 gt. Also i'm looking at a good set of shorty headers.. I would consider Kooks long tube headers but i'm concerned about the heat they bring especially during spirited driving in the summer time heat..Do you think i can get 40 more at the wheels? here are the links:

Aggressive Sound. Give your 4.6 3-valve Mustang an aggressive lopey idle reminiscent of the classic muscle cars of the 60's with a set of Ford Racing Hot Rod Cams. No other cam manufacturer can offer the same aggressive sound and durability of these cams, in fact no one will believe it's a modular engine.

Safe Upgrade. These Hot Rod Performance Camshafts were engineered by the same Ford designers of the stock cams to provide the most powerful cams available that are safe with the stock production valve train of your 2005-2010 GT. The Hot Rod Performance Cams are compatible with production springs, followers, and lash adjusters up to 6800rpm.

More horsepower and torque. Improve the horsepower and torque of your GT pony with a set of Ford Racing Performance Shorty Headers. These Shorty headers will uncork your stock exhaust allowing for better airflow to increase your pony's horsepower and torque.

Improves Exhaust Flow. Ford actually did a good job on the 05-10 Catalytic Converters, but the pipes could actually use some improvement. That's where the Pypes Cut and Clamp X-Pipe come into play. Designed to balance out the exhaust gas pressure in your system, the Cut and Clamp X-pipe reuses the stock Cats saving you money.

Alright first thing, Dont buy shorties. Get long tubes, long tubes actually run cooler than shorties, help the scavenging effect, and produce more power. Shorties are a waste of money unless turbo(s) are in your future.

Next, FRPP hot rods are a decent cam, stock like driveability and decent gains. But if your wanting serious performance, you need to look into other cams. Comp (XFI VSR, XFI SPR) series.

Plus a cut and clamp X isnt going to get you anymore sound or performance.

Kooks long tubes and Comp cams xfi nsr 127300 your looking ~55-60 rwhp
Shorties and hot rods ~15-20 rwhp
