unknown connector under center console

The plug is for an option you don't have. The manufacturers only make/buy one wire harness. It has plugs and connections for every option available for the vehicle. Cheaper than making a different wire harness for each option installed in the vehicle.

I think he understands that, he's just wondering WHAT option it was for.

I know on the 09-up body style it has the traction control button or something of that nature on the center console..maybe ford was thinking ahead haha

very correct. I know they make 1 wire harness for every make. just trying to figure out if anyone knows what this would have been used for

Well, that plug is probably for the cup holder/foot well light selector push button switch in the center console. I guess it wouldn't be too hard take my console apart to confirm this.

I think you guys are missing the important question... What the heck were you doing to get all that stripper glitter on your E-Brake handle and was she perr-tee???

hahaha i'm wondering where the hell that stuff came from too. is not visable at all until the flash of the camera lights it up. i think its the mustangs way of saying "DETAIL ME DAMNIT!!!"
