Question Need some help with exhaust after installing BBK long tubes and catted X.

Had the BBK long tubes and catted x installed a while ago.
At that time I had SLP loudmouths too.
The sound was WAY too loud and actually caused resonance in the cabin that seemed to come from the dash and it was so bad and so loud it vibrated and I thought something else was wrong with the car.

So... I put the stock mufflers back on.
All I can say is YUCK. They are WAY too quiet for me.

I need some suggestions on what kind of mufflers to get.
I want to trade my SLP's if I can for the straight through type
such as Stingers, Corsa, Bassani Race, or Borla's.

I also have have a friend that has a set of Bassani Street (the chambered ones) that I am thinking about buying. But I am worried the sound may be really close to stock being as they are both chambered.

What would you guys suggest as far as the straight through coke-can shaped mufflers like the stingers? Which would sound best with my setup?
I want it loud but i do NOT want any of that interior vibration coming back.

Does anyone have some clips I can listen too?
I cant seem to find any on the forum or on youtube with my setup.

I am really getting frustrated on this and would REALLY appreciate some help.
Thanks!

Edit: I also noticed that the FRRP Stingers and the Borla's are almost identical in price at some places like here
Notice only a 20 dollar difference:
http://www.americanmuscle.com/0509-m...k-exhaust.html

But here they are a much different price between them.... Are the Borla's at this place not the S type or what?
Why are the stingers from FRRP so much cheaper than the Borlas here? Notice here Borla are 529 and FRRP are 475:

And check this out... found the Borla's here for 482... is there any difference?
http://www.lmperformance.com/6912/73.html

One more thing... what exactly is the difference between the two in quality and sound?

I think stingers would sound good and fix all that annoying noise, i drove a supercharged gt with kooks longtubes and catted h with stingers and it sounded great with no random vibrations. I know its not exactly the same thing, but the point is that it had longtubes with a catted mid pipe with no vibrations and wasnt annoyingly loud.

The bassani street will not sound like the stock. It will be louder. There is a clip on this forum of a catted X and bassani street or bassani bx (both are chambered). Not all chambered mufflers sound the same. For example, MACs sound nothing like stock.

Mine has long tubes, h pipe, hf cats, m80's, and AT flows. Deep and nasty. No drone, no trumpets.

X pipe is raspy.......h pipe is better with long tubes IMO.

I REALLY would like loud without drone or vibration in the cabin which I understand is hard to do.

The vibration with those loudmouths just was HORRIBLE.
How do Corsa's sound in comparison to the Stingers as far as volume?
Are they about the same?
I know Corsa's are expensive but if they offer the volume with my setup without the drone I would save up for them.

I understand what you want. Mine has a really nice deep loud tone at startup. Idle is deep and you can't miss it. Driving, whenever you hit the gas, you hear it big time. Everybody hears it, and with no drone or trumpets. Its the perfect tone for me.

Finding your perfect tone is difficult. IMO, once you add lt.'s everything changes, so you really have to think about changing everything after them. It's a journey looking for it, that's for sure.

Corsas are one of the quietest at start-up and idle but one of the loudest at WOT.

Friend let me try his Bassani's.
They sounded great so I bought them from him.

I am having a HORRIBLE rattle now from the back.
But I had it when I swapped out the SLP's for the stockers too.

Here's a link to my thread about it.
Help if you can because I'm about to go NUTS!

Crawl under there and confirm that your over axle pipe is not hitting the back side of the trunk. Mine did this after swapping in my flows. It was a horrible noise. You should have at least two fingers between the pipe and the trunk.

I noticed one of the pipes were almost laying on some sort of bar under them and the other one (passenger side) was having alot more clearance. The other one was raised but i am still getting the rattle really bad.

How should they be? Clearance from the bar so they are higher than it or close to the bar so they are lower from the rest of the car but close to the bar?
