I replaced my Spectre CAI with the K&N FIPK setup and now my vehicle won't start. I get one rev on startup and the engine dies right away with no response from the accelerator. Near as I can tell I put everything together correctly, so what could be causing this?

Check your MAF sensor. Their customer service is steller, if you can't figure it out contact James at K&N customer service.

+1 on the MAF. Unplug and clean the connectors.

Are you tuned for a CAI? If not, then why are you wasting your time with no-performance-to-speak-of CAI's? Get the real deal from AM or Brenspeed; CAI and custom tunes.

Also make sure the MAF is pointed the right way. I do not think you can get it in backwards, but make sure. You may also want to make sure that the boot that goes around the throttle body is on the throttle body all the way around.

As stupid as this sounds is there a balled up peice of paper or packaging in the tube?
