Did you upgrade the tune for the CAI?

Default intake

had 3 new downloads for programer
1 for street , 1 for race and 1 for performance. tried street and performance , without much difference in drivability. reading more about the manifold it says, improved top end above red line with minimal low end loss.
i guess that means there is low end loss. i can hold to 6000 rpm, pop the clutch and it wont even break them loose. not like before. the first time i tried a launch i puched the clutch back in thinking i was launching in 3rd gear, but i was in 1st. i think i will try 4.10 gears. or put the old intake back on. i also am going to call bama tuning to see if they can help..i think its a pretty new product and may need to try a different tune?

Well that sucks. I was just looking into one of those as my next potential mod. No way am I doing anything that loses low end torque.

Yes you have to read between the lines. MM&FF did an article on it 1 or 2 issues ago. The headline was 30 extra HP but if you look at the dyno numbers it lost 30 torque all the way up to 6,000rpm

Are you talking about the FRPP intake that is also used on the Bullet?

If so, you won't feel much difference between it and stock. It's got an 85mm MAF housing (bottleneck) because of that nearly 90 degree angle the intake makes just out of the air cleaner housing. You should get a C&L with a more straight shot and larger diameter MAF housing.

Just to be clear you are talking about the intake manifold, right? If you say intake around here 99% of the readers think it's a tube with an air filter attached.
