^^Brenspeed offers an upgraded Steeda heat exchanger to keep those kits cooler. With extra mods, they become heaton M90s lol

The steedas are larger than the stock heat exchangers, not as big as the Afco dual fan heat exchangers but they are a good upgrade imo for the street.

still wish I had the money for one of these kits... fuuuuggggggggggggg!

I think I'm now going as crazy as Mudflap. I called Chandler at Brenspeed and discussed the Paxton Novi 2200 HO. That Novi 2200 though is bad ***. Like Mudflap it kinda scares me on the stock block. That kit polished is 5200.00. Then they have their Saleen Series VI supercharger on sale for 5500.00. Then you have JDM with the M90, their 500hp kit + cai intake on sale for 4400.00.

I never "plan" on going forged so maybe the M90 is the best bet I don't know. All I know is I want at least 450 rwhp to the tires with my mods and a supercharger at the lowest price.

Thing is the Saleen VI puts out the same psi as the M90. So I don't get why Brenspeed likes the Saleen better. Maybe cuz they only sell the Saleen lol? Don't get me wrong, I wanna buy from Brenspeed because they've always treated me like a king. But, why buy the Saleen VI for 5500.00 rated at 475hp when I can buy the M90 from JDM with their 500 hp kit for 4400? Plus, I go and sell my current aluminum C&L cai and Steeda underdrive pullies for about a total of 300 or so bucks and I've got my M90 price knocked down to 4100.00. Not bad!

Anyway, these are my top three choices at HP for dollar.

The Saleen runs cooler than the M90 and makes it's power much easier, and it's a larger unit overall compared to the smaller roots. The M90 is a great deal if you are willing to spend money on keeping things cool, especially if you upgrade it (cams, tune, cai etc.)

The Paxton is a killer set up overall and will put you in the mid 11s right out the box from what I have been told...

+1

The saleen is a 2.3 liter (140 cubic inch) twin screw. The M90 is a 1.5 liter (90 cubic inch) roots. Apples and oranges. How much heat do you think the M90 will add to your iat's when under boost vs. a twin screw? Lets' say you can get the M90 up to 450rwhp. It will be harder on the motor than the saleen at the same power level due to heat and psi.

Try adiabatic on a google search to get more of an idea on the results of the differences in supercharging (roots vs twin screw).

^^
I have a weird situation because of the horrible winter up here. I would actually prefer the M90 since it'll heat up quicker than the twin screw, but I'll have to be careful with the dual fan XXL heat exchanger as well.. it'll be TOO cold for the winter rofl but perfect for the summer. I can just unplug the fans during the winter. That's if I had an M90.

Of course, the Vortech is off right now so no boost for the next 5 months!

Timmbo I understand your frustration dude. Jim jr at jdm told me with my cams and longtubes it would be safer to not upgrade the pulley but I did add the custom cai. He told me with the mods I already have I should be real close to 450 rwhp. He said "you'll have an 11 second street car but your gonna need sticky tires". I said, I have the tires.

Unfortinatly I won't be able to install for a few more weeks..........sucks. It will be raced monthly, so the results whatever they are will be posted.

^^ ditto.. the long tubes and cams make more of a difference than the 500hp VMP tune.

Great mods to have with an M90.. especially the 4.10s.
