Default Roush costs

So I stopped by a local Mustang shop to chit-chat about install prices and whatnot. I mentioned the M90's that are on sale for $3,900 and they said they really don't want to bother installing one and he recommended the TVS blower to me.

http://www.haneymotorsport.com/2005-...rger%20Kit.htm

Now, the first thing you may notice is this blower is $6k. Sigh. I also don't want to make more than about 400-420 hp on a stock motor. They quoted me, parts and labor on the TVS, at $7,300 and I'd be making about 480whp. Is this about right? Is this what others are paying? I don't NEED a massive TVS blower. I just want to make 400whp and be reliable.

So what the guy is saying to u is that the company wont make nearly as much money off the sale of the roush as they would this TVS blower. So of course they dont feel like insalling it b/c id say that install prices are very close to one another maybe a hundred here or there. It makes ur wonder how much money a dealer is making off the sale of a supercharger b/c i cant hardly believe it costs very much to produce

if you want to keep it at 400-425whp and have no intentions on going forged, there is no reason to go TVS imo. The M90 will suit you just fine...

find a different shop if they aren't willing to work with your needs, I say.

I'd find another shop. In this economy, business is business... and surely someone else will listen to you and install what you want. For your requirements, the M90 is perfect. It won't quite make 400 to the wheels though...

Hey Replica, ive seen you on Houston-imports.com. Get the m90 blower on ebay for 3500 plus 125 shipping. Its the polished version. Too lazy to find you the link. If your not concerned about going over 450 rwhp later in the future, its the kit for you. Install on it should be a piece of cake and get Richard at Striclty to tune it for you. Great guy. Or i know a guy that will do the install for around 300 bucks and he'll come to you.

I agree screw them.
They should not try to bully you into buying something you have no intention of buying and have no use for with your goals.

Now they can not make any money at all because they got too damn greedy.
