I bought the ceramic shorties for temp reduction. I have no idea if they made a difference in my flow. I've seen dyno comparisons that show under the curve power and higher averages. I like them, no regrets. They fit without any tweaking and only raised the sound level a little bit.

they sound nice.

it will be interesting to compare the torque curves, from your most recent dyno and the
one from tomorrow.

See post #9. Sound is very mild but the motor is noticeably louder.

sound clip is there, it looks like a picture ;-)

Bruce, pretty nice. There not that lumpy but there is a nice girgle mixed in when you really listen to it. Cant wait to see a dyno sheet

I'll get an overlay of the runs. I'm hoping for lower boost with more power.

Here it is. The low run is from a previous day with the stock cams and similar weather. A big storm is rolling in and the barometric pressure was falling throughout the day. A local drag racing club was having a dyno day today and I was one of the last to go on because I needed some tuning which takes alot more time than the standard 2 to 3 pulls done on a dyno day.

Overall I gained fairly linear. Run 1 is the final tune. Run 2 is the same as 1 but with a 2 degree cam position difference. Run 3 was the comparison. It should also be noted I chose to have the af richened up some, there is more power in the motor with a leaner af but I'm going to keep it on the rich side.

Unless I am looking at that wrong, looks like you gained a average of 25HP with a peak gain of 23? Not too bad, especialy if your still conservative on that tune.

I thought those would give more of a gain than that.

Mine gave me about a 40hp gain.
But that was also with longtubes.
Maybe my tune is more agressive too.

You are looking at it right. I didn't lose anything anywhere. The car is just as driveable now as it was with the stock cams. Usually there is a trade off on where the power shows up and goes away with a cam change. It wasn't what I was expecting but I didn't go backwards either. It was the least amout of gain for pain in the *** install ratio I've ever had though.
