Whipple Supercharger

If you stay on the frpp tune it won't matter. If you are going with a custom tune it allows for a safer tune since the tuner can base timing on actual iat's taken after the intercooler. For instance my tune is set to start pulling timing at 137 degrees and really start to pull it at 150. It's all a moot point so far because my iat's get cooler when I'm going down the track.

IAT relocation will get you the IAT after the air is spun thru the blower and IC,
so it gives you a more accurate reading as to what the actual IAT is since compressed air get hotter.
i believe on the current 2011 whipples they relocate the IAT sensor, but on the earlier ones they do not.
it is a lot easier to to the relocation when you install the blower, otherwise you gotta take the blower off and istall it if you do it later.
its a cheap mod but pays off especially when you up the boost later.

Awesome thanks guys, after I install it i'll be going to RET to get a dyno tune. I hadn't thought of the air temp being off because of the heat added during compression which is sad considering it's a rather basic detail in physics haha. When I do finally pull the trigger and get everything i'll make sure to post pictures, hopefully in the next few months.
