Exclamation 05 GT gauge cluster WTF?! LOL (kinda)

Anyone ever have this stupid problem? My 05 GT with the IUP Mycolor whatever LOL exploded. First my coolant temp gauge "jumped the pin" and now it's pointing straight down. I didn't think much of it, but then my fuel gauge needle exploded and now is not working, but it still says the accurate "miles til E" on the digital reader. Then today when I started my car, the tach needle read 3k and it kept climbing while the motor was idling normally. It moves at the normal increments but it all starts at 8k read rpm and up. I feel like I'm driving my S2000 LOL. What the F**K is going on? I hope there's an aftermarket gauge cluster because I don't want to pay out of my **** for another stock gauge cluster.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

This happened awhile back to me with all the needles ending up not working at all after a little. Took it to Ford, they said the soldering was bad on the cluster and had to be replaced, cost me just under $500 for the new cluster and installation.

Sometimes you can pick up a used cluster on EBAY.

+1 on the cluster. The '05's and '06's and even some 07's have reported issues. Most folks have picked up a replacement on ebay as stated above.

Here are a couple of write-ups that can save you much money by fixing the issue rather than buying a whole new cluster and paying to have the odometer mileage programmed into it.
