Default Pypes violater axlebacks

So I get this email from American Muscle to make my 05 mustang quicker and they suggest Pypes Violaters I have been running Mac Axlebacks from the beginning is there really any difference other that audio differences? I was always under the impression that there isn't any performance gains in axlebacks. I was thinking of another product they offered and that was the suspension piece that helps with the hopping or traction problems that come with these cars especially since I have 4.10 gears. any comments anyone?

Marketing hype. I have the violators, they sound great. Perhaps its a psychological power gain - they sound bad-*** therefore they must produce more power

I'm stock with a brenspeed tune/intake. Ran her about 1000 miles with stock mufflers before changing to the violators. While they did bring a big smile to my face, because they do sound awesome, there was no change in the pants. No felt hp gain, but well worth it for the sound.
The one thing I will say is the violators fit for crap, and took alot of adjustments to get right (a common problem from what i have heard).
If you are gonna get them, pony up the extra $$ and get the polished version, they look nice!

An axle back exhaust system will gain you NOTHING in performance. 1 to 2 HP MAYBE.

I guess my biggest worry was that my mufflers are crap. I have Macs' and they do look great and a course I didn't install them either. They have a very low rumble and are heard from miles away. : )

You will have far less cabin drone with the Violators. It is no big deal at all to change out the axle backs at all. And mayo is right. Get the 409 polished ones. You can really see them from the rear. The polished finish is looks really great on the '05 - '09's.

I might love them too because I have only had the Macs' since I took off the stock. Mine does have a lot of drone but I'm pro-drone, popping noises the whole bit. : )
