Steeda UDP install question
Does anyone know if the crank pulley bolt can be re-used one more time?
Steeda instructions say you can use it no more than 2 times....and some people on another forum I was checking out said to replace it with a new bolt.
I did buy a new bolt, but I do not think I torqued it correctly. Therefore, I was thinking of re-doing it......but using the same bolt.
Any input would be much appreciated.

I personally wouldn't have a problem re-using that one. To me, it isn't used until it's been torqued correctly and THOSE threads stretched by appropriate torque. If you OVER torqued it, then I would get another one.
My $0.02

I think I'm done trying to answer these questions. A torque to yield bolt should never be used more than once no matter who tells you it's ok. I'm not going to the trouble of explaining it either. If you really want to know google it. It will take all of 10 minutes to view and read why tty bolts are used and why. You will also get a good explaination as to what happens during the bolt stretch (ie plastic state). You have no control over how that bolt was originally stretched. It's just stupid to reuse or for someone to recommend reusing a tty fastener.
Anyway I'm in Marysville and headed to Renton later this morning. I'd be happy to meet you somewhere along the way and give you the extra bolt I have.
