Quick Paxton SL2200 belt question
My Paxton H.O. kit finally arrived from Brenspeed. I'm looking through the parts and I can't seem to find a belt.
Does the Paxton/Vortech supercharger reuse the factory belt?

I believe those kits should come with a new belt. Your best bet would be to give Brenspeed a call to verify.
Are you doing the install yourself? If so, please keep us posted, I'm very interested in this kit myself and would like to hear your thoughts on both the install and performance.

I sent an inquiry about the belt to Brenspeed last night and this is the reply I got today:
"John over here at brenspeed, i just got off the phone with paxton and they are sending the belt out today for you 2nd day air.
You will see the belt in tuesday.
Hope you enjoy your paxton kit, they are alot of fun.
Have a great weekend
Thanks john@brenspeed.com"
These guys are really awesome. I wish I could have an orgy with all the staff at brenspeed and have all their babies at once even though it is physiologically impossible to do so.
I was kinda bummed thinking I was going to have to buy a replacement on my own.

Yeah, the supposed "ease of installation" of the Paxton.
But now that I sat down and really read through the instructions, I can see there are quite a few wires and hoses to be modified, brackets to be bent, bolts to be shortened... It actually looks about the same amount of work as the m90.
So now I'm justifying my purchase by saying it came down to hp vs cost.
Base m90 tops out at about 430rwhp; paxton 2200 at about 480rwhp. Both cost about the same. (at least Brenspeed's kit vs base m90)
(Funny that you brought this thread back up with that Roush m90 question. I was recently seeing youtube videos of the m90 and when I heard that whine on each of them I thought "hmmmm... that could have sounded nice on my car")

Yeah that Paxton is capable of way more than 480, but even that is bleeding edge of the stock motor. You'd need a forged/beefed up engine application to take that sucker any farther. Still considering the Paxton, but the install is a PITA which is a deterrent for me. The 2010 requires massive cutting of the bumper to clear the intercooler...
