Default car shuts off changing into neutral, help?

so my car has been shutting off after i change into neutral from going relatively fast (45+). i'm not really sure if it's stalling or just shutting off. there is no jerk or anything, all i know is i'm cruising, switch into neutral to prepare for a stop, and next thing i know i feel the car stiffen up since i lose the power steering cuz it shuts off. i then have to turn it back on which isn't an issue, it cranks right up and i keep on my way. any ideas on wuts causing this?

Does it stall if you keep it in gear and clutch to a stop?

Sounds like the tune needs some work in the throttle following portion. It's the part that keeps your engine alive after you tell the butterflies in the throttle body to close. I could be wrong though and it could be a different portion of the tune. That was always the first placed I looked when I used to tune the L98/LT1 Chevy engines.

I'm surprised that nobody (including me) thought of cleaning the TB before going through any other gyrations. That's often been the smoking gun behind numerous engine idle issues.

Was just about to suggest that myself. Definitely not always a solution, but sometimes before going to the tuner, cleaning the TB is a good idea. Just make sure to use dedicated TB cleaner when doing so.

Contact Bama Monday-Friday from 9AM-5:30PM EST at 888.226.9764. They'll take a look into what's going on.

Here's what worries me... it would actually be difficult to make your car just die the way you describe it. It's not a common or known tune issue or anything like that. This leads me to believe that there is something else causing it. I'd be willing to bet throttle body is dirty or MAF, etc.
