Hey guys my name is Sam. I live in norhtern jersey and just bought a 2011 5.0 Mustang and love it...I just hioned this forum because i really liked it and heard a lot of good things bout it. Although i am a little suspicious about something going on in my car. when i shift into 2nd 3rd and sometimes even 4th it sometimes makes this clanking noise and i just wanted to know if that was normal ?

Welcome to MF and the GURU's here should be able to help you. If not take it into the dealer for warranty work.

Depends on the clanking noise, if your clutch release is a bit "sloppy" it could be the drivetrain knocking around which is normal, a lot of thrust driveshaft movement in a manual trans car.

Depends on the clanking noise....could be anything. You would have to give a better description. Welcome to the forum.

It could be the 2-piece driveshaft. I had the clunk before I installed a 1-piece aluminum driveshaft... after - no clunk!
