Default Vortech V3 3.33" Pulley?

Instead of running cams, I was thinking of running an even smaller pulley than the 3.48" (10 psi) and going with the 3.33" pulley for added boost (tuned of course).

The cams should net me a solid 20-25whp over the 450whp. Instead of doing that, I figure it would save me the $650-700 and go ahead with the smaller pulley since I am pretty much capped off in terms of power on the stock motor (470-480whp). Brenspeed claims 500whp is safe with the torque less centri just as long as I don't do anything stupid. *cough* top speed runs *cough*

Opinions??

This will all be done with the intercooler install... why do cams (more work), when a simple pulley swap nets the same result. 2 minutes of work.. and extra PSI.

Shouldn't you be considering an 8rib setup when going that small?
Also, I thought the 3.48 was an 8psi pulley and the 3.33 a 10psi. Regardless, we get it. You are starting to feel "inadequate" again and want more power.

?? pretty sure I am already running the 8 psi pulley right now on the V3..

not sure what the 3.48" will net me. Easier to swap a pulley than change out cams lulz

Was thinking about going to the 12 psi pulley on the Paxton too... Like to see what people have to say.

I am gonna stick with the 10 psi pulley, no reason to go to anymore boost on the stock bottom end. If I want more power, I'll just add Torco and tune for 93 octane.. plan on going forged 2012 summer so this 20 whp here and there don't really mean squat compared to the 150+whp on top of the 200+whp bolt on right now rofl

Does anyone know for sure what size the 10 psi pulley is?? I can't find it anywhere an I didn't think to measure it before install.
