I'll say the obvious... The dealership is probably going to play the "we didn't do it... maybe you did it and are blaming us" game... Jus' sayin... I hope to God that they don't but it's a slim chance.

Do you have all your paperwork from the last time they touched it? Do you have a personal friend who is an attorney to possibly represent your interests?

Good luck. Keep us posted.

Yes I have both as a matter of fact. It is still under warranty so there is no way I or anyone besides a dealer would touch bell housing bolts. They might try to deny it but thats what I expect. So like I said they can loose big or step up.

Upon further inspection I found the block broke right down the center of the bolt hole and they tried to JB weld it. Now has anyone else had this problem and how was it resolved?I can say this The dealer and I will have a serious problem if they don't make it right. I will be seeing the dealer on monday. Also my brand new shaftmasters driveshaft has a loose u-joint in the back does anyone know what joint it uses so I can fix it?
Damn, good luck at the dealership! Shaftmasters uses Spicer u-joints. Is it the 3.5 inch shaft? if so, I believe it's a 1350. You can always call them to be sure. 866-912-2004.

I spoke with the service manager at the Ford dealership. To my suprise he didn't deny or shift the blame. What he said was he would fix it no matter what it took. So he is going to call me later today with more details on what will be done. Oh and to my suprise David at Shaftmasters is sending me a new U-joint. For what a u-joint costs I gladly would have paid for it but there was NO CHARGE. Awesome customer service.
