I have the same problem and very similar set up to yours (Pypes LT headers, X-pipe w/Pypes HFCs, o2 sensor risers, Borla Stingers, Detroit Rocker cams, Paxton SC). You simply returned the tune to stock and drove for 300 miles or so? Any drivability issues during those 300 miles?

Thanks.

Nope.... No inspection down here in SC!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

using a stock tune with that setup won't help you in most situations.
If you're getting P0420 and/or P0430 codes, do a search on using spark plug fouler spacers on the rear 02 sensors; those spacers move the o2 sensors more out of the exhaust stream and reduce the 'counts' made to trigger the dtcs. This has worked for numerous people, some have had to use 2 spacers on 1 o2 sensor to get the counts low enough. This only applied to the rear o2 sensors and to p0420/0430 codes.

I forgot to mention I did add the o2 spacers. Added 1 to each side, but still got the code. Added 2 to each side and still get the codes you outline above.
I'm really getting frustrated.

Do you think putting the stock cats back on would help?
Thanks again.

Yup; high-slows tend to do that.
There's a minor rear o2 circuit modification you can do as well, to attenuate the signals and reduce the counts the PCM is making ( http://www.paladinmicro.com/pmicro.p...Eliminator.htm ). I was going to try this, but no longer have the issue right now, as my tune is taking care of it

Searched the web a lot last night regarding this issue. Anyone ever try or even hear of these? $100 is a lot of money for essentially 02 risers. However, these have the honeycomb filters built in.

Your tune probably runs in Open loop for 60 to 90 seconds on startup to heat up the O2 sensors longer before going into Closed loop because of the long tube headers.

The shop could have just waited a couple minutes at idle.

I wonder how your car ran well enough to drive it 300 miles with the long tube headers and the O2 sensors being so far down the exhaust. I would think it would have run rich.

I put my cats back on, air box, stock tune, drove 40 miles to test facility by work, all monitors were ready, go figure. doesn't always take numerous drive cycles.

Otherwise, with mods, including tune, rear o2 monitors are off. Giving a few not ready results. Evap and something else, (cant remember what) will not run until it gets a reading from those rear o2's that are turned off.

I used the spark plug non-foulers on the rear O2 sensors and the system showed ready and threw no codes. It passed the inspection hooked up to the DMV tester...
