2005 Mustang GT engine swap
I have a problem with my 2005 mustang 4.6 V8 engine and I want to swap it with a crown victoria engine. So I was wondering if there would be any Hp lose or difficulties in installing it.
Also I was wondering if there is any other engine that would fit in a 2005 mustang Gt v8?

try posting your question here: https://mustangforums.com/forum/4-6l...iscussions-69/
this section is actually for issues or problems with the forum itself...
to try to answer your question, though, and i'm not 100% sure, but if iirc, the highest hp a crown vic engine had (other than the interceptors) was something in the range of 240-260 bhp... so there would be a loss, since the '05 gt engine has that range (or higher) at the wheels. i would guess you night need a different transmission, too. if the money is available, you could look into swapping it with the '11 v6 (good mileage and power) or even the new 5.0

Crown Vic is a 2valve iron block, why would you want that boat anchor. You can get a production short block from Ford new for around $1,800 so provided your heads are in good shape why bother with anything else if you're going to stay stock.
