No offence, but I lived all around Europe for a while and it was not my thing. Its hard to find a parking spots for small cars, let alone Mustangs. I could not imagine driving down narrow roads and parking my Mustang. I would be asking for my car to get damaged somehow. And the gas is just stupid. Guaranteed, your fuel bill would be way more than the car payment.

Thank god we got huge roads and lots of land.

By the way, the women in Europe are the baddest birds I have ever seen. Especially Spain. lol. So it aint that bad

Not picking on you Nuke, but I've heard this before and I don't understand it.
I think your theory makes sense and is correct. Although , i once heard that you should not get gas at a gas station if you see a tanker refiling the gas reservoir underground. I was told that all the garbage at the bottom of tank would be agitated and that would end up in your car if you chose to fill there. I dont know how true that is either. So i think that is where this theory came from

the only time it read "0 miles to empty" is when I reloaded the Brenspeed tune for 10 psi w/the Vortech H.O. kit.. it totally reset everything, not only that item (mpg, average mph etc.)

1/4 til E and I am filling her back up!

The fuel pump and sender are not located right at the bottom of the tank - it sits in a box and relies on fuel sloshing to keep the pick up submerged.

Anyway, this thread reminds me of the Seinfeld episode where Kramer tests this very same thing. LOL

Unless you live in or travel to a remote area more than ~50 miles away from the nearest gas station, there's NO excuse for running the gas tank so low that the MyColor display shows "0 miles to empty".
By all means try but if you end up stranded on the side of the road with no gas, you'd look like a total idiot. You'd also risk clogging up the fuel filter and fuel pump pickup strainer with sediment from the bottom of the tank, and risk burning up the fuel pump itself 'cause it needs to be submerged in fuel to remain cool.
Personally, I refill the tank as soon as the gauge needle drops below 1/4 even though I may still have more than 4 gallons left in the tank.
